How I work

A clear process, start to finish.

You always know what’s happening, what’s next and what it costs. Here’s exactly how a project runs.

In short

  1. 01

    We talk

You tell me what you need, in plain words. I help you shape the idea. Free, no pressure.

  2. 02

    I design & build

You follow the progress on a private link and send feedback in the rounds we agree on.

  3. 03

    We launch

We test everything together, on phone and laptop, then your site goes live.

  4. 04

    It’s yours

You get every account and a short guide. Help after launch is there if you want it.

In detail: six steps

From first call to launch day.

01

Discovery call

Free · 30 minutes

We talk about your business, your goals and what the site or app needs to do: pages, features, content, deadline and budget. If I’m not the right fit, I’ll tell you.

02

Written proposal

1-2 days after the call

A fixed price, what’s included, how many revision rounds, the timeline and who owns what. Nothing starts until you approve it. Usually 50% upfront and 50% before launch, when you approve the work we agreed on in the quote.

03

Your accounts

20-30 minutes, together

We’ll set up the accounts your project needs, with everything in your name. I’ll guide you through the process and manage the technical setup with your permission. You won’t need to share passwords or card details.

04

Design & build

Most of the project

I build on a private preview link you can open on your own phone and laptop. You send feedback, I adjust. Nothing touches your live site until you say it’s ready.

05

Launch

Launch day

I connect your domain, HTTPS, forms and analytics, then test every page on desktop and mobile, check speed and accessibility basics, and make sure it can be restored if anything goes wrong.

06

Handover & care

After launch

You get access to everything, a short guide and a list of every service and what it costs, plus a walkthrough video when it’s useful, for example for Evolve’s editing panel. For the first 30 days, up to 2 small content updates are included, and 14 days of fixes for issues with the agreed deliverables. New features and bigger changes are quoted separately; ongoing help is optional, through the Care Plan.

Ownership

You own it. All of it.

Client-owned infrastructure, developer-managed delivery. That’s the whole model.

  • 01

    Your web address

Your domain is registered in your name, on your account. Never mine.

  • 02

    Your website files

Your website’s code and files are kept in a dedicated repository, with ownership and access arranged as part of the handover. I typically use GitHub, but the setup depends on your project.

  • 03

    Your hosting account

Your website runs on a hosting account you control. I usually recommend Cloudflare for smaller websites, but we’ll choose the right solution for your project.

  • 04

    No hidden costs

Many small websites can run on free hosting plans. If your project needs a paid service, I’ll explain the cost before anything is activated.

  • 05

    No lock-in

Your accounts are yours, so you can remove my access at any time. Final deliverables and usage rights are handed over as agreed in your quote, once payment is complete. After that, continue with anyone you like. Nothing stays locked to me.

  • Don’t worry: I’ll guide you through setting everything up. You won’t need to figure out the technical side yourself.

At handover

What you receive

Full access

Admin access to your domain, hosting and code, all under your own accounts.

A short guide

Plain-language notes: where things live, how to update content, who to call.

A walkthrough video, when relevant

For sites you update yourself, like Evolve’s editing panel: a few minutes showing the most common changes.

A cost sheet

Every service your site uses, what plan it’s on, and what (if anything) it costs.

Have a project in mind?

Tell me a little about it. I’ll get back to you within one working day. If we’re a good fit, we’ll discuss the details and I’ll prepare a clear, written quote.
